I’m really hesitant to post this, but we got word last night the 3rd buyer is really excited about the purchase of our current home. We don’t have a definitive closing date other than we’re to close within the next 40 days. If, indeed, this contract plays out to completion the timing will be most ideal. Divine time….I’m a believer in perfect timing.
Update on yonderways: Our contractor suggested we put in a mini split unit for heating and air in the Acorn. Because our scope has changed so has move-in. We’re now hoping to be settled into the guest cottage with all updates (new windows, HVAC, paint, and a simple bathroom update) by November 1. While painting and bathroom renos are taking place this weekend in the Acorn, demolition begins in the Oak (main cottage). Our son is coming in to help Keith with demolition and my sister from South Carolina is coming in to help me with painting and packing. Keith and I are very grateful for the help.
I haven’t posted for a couple of days due to obligations with work. I packed and inventoried a trunk show headed to Florida and I also attended a fundraiser Tuesday evening which was my last hoorah as a vendor. I’m very resolved about the liquidation of the business and look forward to less obligated days after the first of the year.
Autumn is in full-force here in the Blue Ridge. I adore this time of year and especially that the long range views are back. I’m going to miss this view terribly and hope the new owner receives as much joy as have I over the last 11 years. I have witnessed many a sunrise of this very view and I look forward to discovering my place of peace at yonderways.
