Yonderways is proud to be partnering with McDowell Hospital in Marion, NC for the benefit of the American Cancer Society. McDowell Hospital will be hosting a Pearls for Purpose benefit showcasing genuine fresh water and salt water pearls from Shucks - Pearls from Yonderways. The two-day event will be held February 3rd and February 4th just in time for Valentines!
The trunk show will be hosted in the Classroom. Thursday show hours are from 1:00 - 4:00. Friday show hours are 10:00 - 1:00. Come shop with us and support this super cause. There will be Valentine pearl specials as well.

Yeah - I know, ADORABLE, right?! Sir Shucksley, aka “Shucks” for short was born December 2, 2010 and will be arriving as the official mascot for Shucks - Pearls from Yonderways January 15, 2011. Shucks is a mini potbelly pig and is projected to weigh anywhere from 25 - 45lbs at maturity in 5 years. He will be a pleasure and a super companion and diversion. He is only weeks old in this photo. Yonderways.com is a domain owned by Southern American expats working and living in Shanghai. However, due to personal circumstances, this website is growing to share a vision of the couple: “Yonderways”, will be a self-sustainable, eco-friendly community in the mountains of North Carolina, USA for individuals suffering with severe brain disorders.
The Yonderways community will be integrative consisting of members, staff and volunteers all working and living together. Yonderways will also seek to be a low-cost grass roots community model that will encourage others to build much needed like-minded facilities throughout the United States and other countries. Your prayers and encouraging thoughts are much appreciated as we move forward and public with our vision.
